Over the past few months, we’ve been pouring our time and energy into some big projects—things that we believe will make a real impact, both in our ministry and beyond. From launching our first digital engagement campaign to developing technology tools for outreach and language learning, it’s been a season of growth, learning, and new beginnings.
Before we dive into the exciting updates, we want to take a moment to reflect on a milestone—one full year in Lima! December 1 marked a year since we moved, and we’re incredibly thankful for how God has helped our family adjust and for the relationships He’s building in ministry. It hasn’t always been easy, but His faithfulness has been clear every step of the way.
One of the most exciting projects we’ve been working on is a new AI-powered tool designed to help our teams engage more effectively in online conversations. In January, Jared attended an Artificial Intelligence bootcamp with our company in Richmond, where we explored ways AI can be used in digital ministry.
Jared’s project focuses on helping online responders prioritize messages, ensuring that the most urgent and meaningful conversations get the attention they need. This tool has the potential to greatly enhance digital outreach, and we’re excited to see how it develops!
Another big project that has finally come to life is Amigo Lingo, a language learning app that Jared started developing when we lived in Puebla, Mexico. After months (actually, years!) of work, it’s now officially available on the iOS App Store!
Amigo Lingo helps users practice conversational Spanish, English, or Portuguese in a simple and engaging way. We’d love for you to check it out—and if you want to support it, a 5-star review would mean the world to us. Just search “Amigo Lingo” in the App Store!

The biggest thing happening right now is our very first digital engagement ad campaign, launching this Friday, February 7. This is a huge step forward in our ministry as we seek to connect with people online and invite them into meaningful spiritual conversations.
We believe digital outreach is an incredible opportunity, and we’re praying for this campaign to reach those who are genuinely searching for truth. This is just the beginning—we plan to run many more campaigns in the future!
Would you pray with us for this launch? Specifically, that:
Beyond these tech projects, we’re also involved in exciting things locally! Our church in Lima is celebrating its 7-year anniversary, and we’re joining in the celebration by serving the community. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be:
It’s a joy to be part of what God is doing here, both online and in person!
In the midst of all this, we had a special Christmas visit! Amy’s sister and her family came to stay with us for two weeks after Christmas, and the kids absolutely loved spending time with their cousins. We made wonderful memories celebrating together, and while saying goodbye was hard, we’re grateful for the time we had.

As for the kids, they are thriving:
Watching them grow and develop their own interests has been a gift.
