Before serving with the International Mission Board (IMB), Jared worked as a children's pastor and digital marketer in the business world. His experience in digital marketing led him to wonder how these strategies could be used to reach people for Christ and advance God's kingdom. Amy served as a teacher and has been homeschooling our three kids since they started school, ensuring they receive a quality education no matter where our family serves.
We began serving with the IMB in 2022, but our family's connection to missions goes back further. Amy previously served in Mexico for three years as a journeyman missionary, giving her valuable experience and a heart for the people and culture that would later become part of our family's story.
Jared serves as the Affinity Digital Engagement Strategist, a role that allows him to use his background in digital marketing to train other missionaries across the Americas. He helps equip teams to use digital tools and pathways to fulfill the Great Commission, reaching people online who may never step foot in a church building.
Amy continues to homeschool our children while also assisting with Jared's ministry. Each year, she helps host a cohort in Lima, where missionaries from across the region gather for training and encouragement. Her gifts of hospitality and teaching have been invaluable to the work we do together.
We have three wonderful kids who make life an adventure:
Joshua enjoys playing tennis, video games, and learning to code. He's always curious about how things work and loves diving into new projects and challenges.
Elizabeth plays volleyball and has a creative spirit. She loves to cook and do crafts, often surprising us with her latest creations in the kitchen or her newest craft project.
Caleb is a people person who loves hanging out with his brother and sister. You'll often find him building with Legos or coming up with imaginative games to play with others.
Together, we're learning what it means to follow God's call to the nations, embracing both the challenges and the joys of missionary life in Lima, Peru.
